Like most fall prevention systems, there can be different challenges with guardrail, and different things to consider. Can the system be attached to the roof surface? Is there equipment in the way, and do we need to design the guardrail system around this? Are there aesthetic considerations, such as does the customer require the system to be hidden from view from the ground below? In this case, is a Foldshield guardrail required, where the system can be collapsible when not in use?
These are just some of the things which our design team need to keep in mind for each individual project. Sometimes the safest method is not always what the customer wants, and a new system is required to take their needs into account, while still ensuring maximum safety.
