Self Closing Industrial Safety Gate – Safe Reliable Access
The new range of Kee Gate self closing safety gates provide permanent protection where regular access is required for internal and external applications such as to plant and machinery, demarcated areas within a loading bay and other restricted areas and for protecting openings, walkways ladder and stair access points.
For openings of up to 1 metre, a single gate will be sufficient. However, for wider spans, a double gate setup will need to be used. This can cover openings up to 1.8 metres.
The gates are spring loaded so they automatically close behind the user, overcoming the problem associated with traditional chains, links and sliding bars where human error can lead to the creation of hazardous voids.
Double Safety Gates
The Double Gate setup increases the number of fittings on either side, which in turn strengthens their capacity. Both gates are self-closing.
This option is also compliant to EN 14122, and meets the same level of testing as the single gate. Also available in either the galvanised option, or powder-coated in safety yellow.
Self Closing Safety Gates are:
-Spring loaded to automatically close behind the user
-Independently tested to international standards
-Easily retro-fits to existing structures
-Galvanised or powder coated in safety yellow
-Standard 1m gate can be cut to size
-Durability and reliability guaranteed through extensive testing
-Independently tested to international standards including EN 14122 Part 3 & Part 4 and EN 13374 Class A
-Quick and easy to assemble
-CE marked to EN 1090
The Kee Gate Self Closing Safety Gate is ideal for use with existing structures such as roof guardrail systems and ground based barrier and handrail systems.
Kee Gate Single
Installations
The Kee Gate range is fully compliant with the requirements of EN ISO 14122 Parts 3 and 4 Safety to Machinery. Permanent means of access to machinery and EN 13374 Temporary edge protection systems.
Reliability and Durability
In order to ensure the reliability and durability of the gates, the range has undergone and passed extensive testing. These include salt spray testing to ASTM B117-11 Neutral solutions over 200 hours to assess the coating's corrosion resistance and life cycle testing to BS 6375-2:2009 Clause 6.5 – Opening and closing of Gate through 90 degrees 50,000 cycles. The self closing safety gates are also CE accredited to the requirements of EN 1090 and comply with the Work at Height Regulations.
Simple to Install
Ease of installation has played a major factor in the design of the range of safety gates. Each gate is supplied 1m wide and can be easily adjusted by simply cutting the gate to the required size on site. Full fixing kits enable the gate to be fixed quickly to existing supporting structures including square, flat or angle uprights.
