Working Safely at Heights Training

Skyway provides customised training to clients on the correct use of fall prevention systems (FPS), suspended access systems (SAS) and personal fall protection equipment (PFPE).

Following completion of this one hour session the participant will:

  • Understand relevant Health and Safety legislation and be aware of his duties within the legislation.
  • Be able to wear and check his PFPE (Harness, lanyard, blocks, rope and grab) correctly.
  • Demonstrate the correct use of PFPE.
  • Understand the components of fall prevention systems or suspended assess system and how to check they are safe to use.
  • Demonstrate the use of fall prevention system/suspended assess system as appropriate including motorised controls with SAS.
  • Have basic understanding of what to do in the case of a fall incident.

Who will benefit:
Users of roof area including maintenance personnel, property managers/owners.

Training Environment:
In order to achieve the objectives outlined, the instructor will need a dedicated quiet area (classroom/meeting room) where participants receive initial instruction. The instructor and participants will need safe access to the roof area in order to deliver instruction, allow practice and evaluate training outcome.

We deliver this training on your premises, customising it to your system and PFPEs.

Certification:
Delegates who successfully complete this course of instruction will be awarded a Skyway Certificate of Training which is valid for 3 years.
